Q: Do I have To Sign Up With PayPal To Purchase?

A: No, signing up with PayPal is optional, you are offered this opportunity after a purchase. PayPal lends a degree of

    security for the seller and purchaser by requesting verifiable information. By using PayPal to  process credit card

    orders,  we do not have to keep customers' card numbers in our database. In fact, we don't ever see this information. 

    We think this protects our customers, and ourselves. There is an online record of fund transfers that is available to both 

    parties. We think this could minimize disputes and misunderstandings. It's much  safer than calling an 800 number and

   giving your credit card to who-knows-who is on the other end.

Q: I Want To Make A Purchase Without Going Through PayPal?

A:  When you get to the Checkout page click on the "If You Do Not Have A PayPal Account Already" button to proceed to the

      non PayPal checkout. If you  click Continue at the bottom of the page you will be asked for your PayPal log in.

Q: I Don't have A Credit Card How Can I Make A Purchase?

A: Simply mail us with want you want and a money order or check for the appropriate amount. we will send you a

     confirmation email.

Q: How Do I Download The Kwik-Pit Plans After Purchase?

A: After you have made a purchase the file will be sent to your email address. There you will click on the file or files to be

    downloaded. The file is in zipped PDF format which requires an uzipping utility such as Winzip which is built into Windows or

    PKzip and Adobe Acrobat reader to read. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download it for free by clicking

    on the link on the "Download" page or going to their website at  http://www.adobe.com. You will also receive an email link to

    the file for download at the email address you provide during the transaction.

Q: Do You Have After Sales Support?

A: Yes, our products are warranted for 30 days after purchase but if you have any problems you may contact us

Q: Do Your Products Come With A Warranty?

A: Yes, our products except for the plans (due to illegal copying problems) come with a 30 day warranty against

     defects or craftsmanship. Read more on our "Legal" page.

Q: What Is Your Returned Items Policy?

A: Every product comes with our 30 day warranty, our products have been tested and will perform functions as

    described. However, should you have a demonstrable problem with the product you may contact us at

    support@kwikpit.com or use our feedback forum, we can also be contacted by voice or fax at  888-371-8821.  

    We will ask for information concerning the problem. Within 24 hours we'll verify the problem . We will then, at our  

    discretion do one of the following: (a) immediately issue a  RMA number for return of the product for replacement;

    (b) refund your purchase price (you must return product); (c) otherwise resolve the problem within 48 hours.

    Unauthorized returns without a RMA number will not be honored until the proper RMA number is issued or an

    alternative solution is reached at our discretion.

Q: Do You Charge A Restocking Fee On Returned Items?

A: No, we do not charge a restocking fee.

 

Q: What If I Receive A Damaged Item?

A: Orders are shipped with insurance and are carefully packaged to make it safely to their destination in original  

     condition, but occasionally packages arrive damaged or, on rare occasions, don't arrive at all. we have had very

     few damage problems and no lost packages since we began shipping. ALL CLAIMS for damage, and hidden damage

     upon opening, must be reported to the carrier immediately.

    Items damaged during shipping will be replaced or your money refunded through an insurance claim. If your order  

    was damaged in shipping please call the U.S. Postal Service at 800-275-8777 and report the damage. They will start

    a claim for you. We retain the insurance receipt and will forward it to you to present to the carrier.

    Do not send the damaged item(s) to us. The USPS requires the recipient to contact them and/or take the damaged  

    item to them. Keep the box, damaged item(s) and all packing materials in case the carrier wants a claim investigator

    to inspect them. We will be happy to help in any way I can with an insurance claim. We carefully package all

    shipments to ensure their safe delivery to you.

Q: I'm getting an error message saying that my credit card is already associated with a PayPal account, what?

A:  This is because you may be a current PayPal member. If you've forgotten your password it can be reset. You may 

     also may have a problem if you've forgotten or no longer have the email account you used when you joined. Contact us

     by phone or fax and we will place your order manually. You may also download the printable form and send it in with a 

     check or money order. We also except echecks.

 

Q: Why Do You Ship Eze-Pits To The Continental US  only?

A:  Due to prohibitive shipping costs, customs, value added tax etc. in  many 

     countries it is not economically feasible to ship internationally. Having said that, if you still are contemplating a

     purchase please email us and we will gladly determine the shipping cost for your region and then you can make your

     purchasing  decision.

Q: What Are Your Eze-Pits Made Of?

A: The Eze-Pits are made of Particleboard. Particleboard is widely used in the manufacture of furniture, cabinets,

     shelving and many other products. Today's particleboard gives  manufacturers the consistent quality and design

     flexibility needed for fast, efficient production lines and quality consumer products. Although Particleboard is

     maligned by many fine furniture builders, at the same time many furniture makers hide Particleboard under a

     veneer layer.

 

     Many uninformed people feel particleboard is inferior to other wood products or have had bad experiences with

     Particleboard. Particleboard should not be used to bear great loads or left out in the weather these are the main

     mistakes people make with Particleboard projects. However it is and excellent low cost alternative to solid woods in

     building shelving, tables, cabinets, panels and products specifically designed to take advantage of it's low cost and

     inherent properties. It is to this end that we decided on this composite wood for our Eze-Pit products, to offer

     something that is unique, and at the same time at a price that is affordable.

Q: Are The Eze-Pits Easy To Assemble?

A: Yes, the unit consists of three panels that are joined with steel hinges, rubber feet

     are then attached to protect your furniture, the units can be used "as is" or painted any color the customer

     desires.

Q: Are The Eze-Pits shipped pre-finished?

A: Yes, the units are ready for  painting or can be used as is. We do recommend a coat of paint to protect against 

     moisture or spills. Check our "Tips" and "Gallery" pages for painting tips suggestions and ideas.

Q: I've never built anything before, how hard are the Kwik-Pit plans to follow?

A: The Kwik-Pit is designed to be economical and quick to build. The design uses straight cuts, no curves or odd shapes. 

     The plans are designed to be read by the first time builder, no layered drawing or technical jargon. Some diagrams are

     oversized for emphasis where needed, there are step by step instructions throughout. We stock a Hardware kit which

     reduces the search for parts, all materials should be obtainable at your local home improvement store. You'll find 

     building the Kwik-Pit to be a fun and rewarding project for the first time or experienced builder.

 Q: I see instruments on the EZE-Pit are they functional?
 
A:  The instruments are graphics and are not functional. New: we have added instrument graphics that can be cut out and  

       stuck on as well as a complete printable set that comes with the kit.

Q:  Do You Make Money On Shipping Charges?

A:  No, our shipping rates are calculated live from the couriers. Shipping  costs just like stamps have risen over the last 

     several years and has become  more expensive. You choose the most efficient way based on the amount collected

     for shipping, we use UPSP,  UPS and FED EX. You will NEVER be charged more for shipping than is calculated by the

     couriers.

 

Q: Is Purchasing on the Internet safe?

A: Shopping online offers lots of benefits that you won't find shopping in a store or by mail. For example, the Internet is

     always open - seven days a week, 24 hours a day. And, bargains can be numerous online. Shopping on the Internet is

     no less safe than shopping in a store or by mail. Keep the following tips in mind to help ensure that your online

     shopping experience is a safe one.

     Use a secure browser.
     This is the software you use to navigate the Internet. Your browser should comply with industry security standards,  

     such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). These standards scramble the purchase information you send over the

     Internet, helping to secure your transaction. Most computers come with a browser installed. You also can download

     some browsers for free over the Internet.

     Determine the company's refund and return policies before you place your order. These should be posted on the 

     company's Web site.

     Keep your password(s) private.
     Be creative when you establish a password, and never give it to anyone. Avoid using a telephone number, birth date, 

     or a portion of your Social Security number. Instead, use a combination of numbers, letters, and symbols.

     Pay by credit or charge card.
     If you pay by credit or charge card online, your transaction will be protected by the Fair Credit Billing Act. Under this

     law, consumers have the right to dispute charges under certain circumstances and temporarily withhold payment

     while the creditor is investigating them. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit or charge card, you are

     generally held liable only for the first $50 in charges. Some companies offer an online shopping guarantee that

     ensures you will not be held responsible for any unauthorized charges made online, and some cards may provide 

     additional warranty, return and/or purchase protection benefits.

     Keep a record.
     Be sure to print a copy of your purchase order and confirmation number for your records. Also, you should know that

     the federal Mail/Telephone Order Merchandise Rule covers online orders. This means that unless states otherwise,

     merchandise must be delivered within 30 days; and if there are delays, the company must notify you.

 

Q: What Is A Secure Server?

A: Secure Server (SSL) - A method of ensuring that information entered through your website is protected from prying  

     eyes. Information submitted via a secure form is transmitted in an encrypted mode. SSL is most commonly used for 

     credit card transactions.
